traveling with a toddler and sleeping arrangements
We will be taking a few trips soon with the kids and I am not sure where to have our 2yo daughter sleep On past trips she always slept in a pack and play, but I don't think that will work anymore since she is bigger. At home she sleeps in a full size bed that is up against the wall and has a bed rail on the other side. She is a crazy sleeper and moves all over all night long. Occasionally if she comes into our room she will sleep in our bed, but it is a disaster. she kicks us and moves the whole time and has even fallen off the bottom of the bed once! So I am not sure what to do with her in a hotel situation. She will definitely fall out of a bed on her own. I was thinking of maybe getting one of those blow up toddler beds? does anyone have experience with those?
Thanks!

I have The Shrunk blow up mattress that we take on all trips with us. The one we have inflate easy & has bed rails on the side that inflate too. My boys are 3 & 2.5 and have used them successfully since about 17 months.

We usually get a king size bed and that gives us all enough space to be in one bed, but AJ never rolled off the bottom. The times we didn't we brought her bed (roll up) and put it on the floor. We used the comforter as a cushioning below her covered that with a sheet then put her roll up or nap mat on top of that. Layered that with her blankets and then she'd sleep on that. But that was ONLY if we drove. If we flew there's no way. Yes, we have an inflatable twin. If she rolled off it wasn't 'far' so we never got the oen with rails on it and figured we'd use it when she got older for sleep overs.

Yea, we have a king size bed at home and it was still a nightmare the few times she has slept in it. It is dangerous situation for all of us! I will look into the shrunk. I think we this is the direction we will have to go in. Thanks!
