Traveling at 28 - 30 weeks

Anyone travel during this time (by car and/or by plane)?

Did your doctor have any issue with it/advise against?

Iwent on my last business trip at 26 weeks. Flew to Pittsburgh for a 4 day conference.

My doctor was fine it with but to be honest...it was hard on me. I was so, so tired, it was tough to sit through the sessions ect. Not sure what type of travel you'll be doing but definitely bear in mind that you will feel more tired!

My dr said it was fine. I chose not to fly and opted out of a conference at work but I have done a few hours in the car. No more than 3ish cause I get too uncomfortable

I was planning on a 9 hr car drive at 28 wks (with rest stops of course) and later on a short 2.5 hr flight at 30 weeks.

I think with my 1st pregnancy... my OB advised against travel a little later (just due to the fact that I may go into early labor).

I just went on a flight (2 hrs) at 26 weeks. No problems.

I flew between 28 and 29 weeks and had no problems.

Dr. said I could travel/fly up to 36 weeks.

I was in the car for 6 hours at around 26-27 weeks and honestly it was tough. I was very uncomfortable. I could and would do it again at 30 weeks if I had to, but if I could avoid it I would.

When I was PG with DD we took a road trip at 26 weeks. We drove down to baltimore, pretty much parked the car when we got there and walked everywhere all week. I was feeling pretty good at that point and the walking was great. Some days we literally walked miles.

I flew from CA to NY and back at 28 weeks for my baby shower - ob/gyn was perfectly fine with that (had a completely uneventful pregnancy) with my first

In my first pregnancy, I went to the Bahamas at 28 weeks! My OB said he was comfortable wtih me flying anytime up to 32 weeks.

My dr said no planes after 34w..I flew @ 27 or 28 w

I took two car trips when I was pregnant with DS.
Once when I was about 24 weeks. We went upstate.
The second time I was 29 weeks and we went to Vermont.

I was a little uncomfortable in the car at 29 weeks, but it wasn't bad. We stayed two days with friends at a ski resort, and I had a good time.

I wouldn't reccomend a car trip over 4 hours though.

I did a 9 hour car ride at 26 weeks. We stopped a couple of times but it was way more comfortable then I expected. If you drive the key is to switch positions every couple of hours.

I drove to NC at 32 weeks with my 2 yr old and my parents. It was 10hrs down and 15hrs back ( we hit traffic). While it wasn't bad going down coming back was Torture. But I don't regret going. But the Dr had said I should have flown since it would jave only been a 1 hr flight. I thought I wasn't allowed to fly which is why we did the road trip. But as long as its an uneventful pregnancy most Drs are ok with travel up to 34-36 weeks.

i went to a wedding in albany at 35 weeks and my doctor said it was fine as long as i felt ok... we drove (obv), it was annoying bc we had to stop a lot so i could pee and i was also really uncomfortable in the car for so long but it wasn't TERRIBLE

I flew from NY to Florida at 28/29 weeks and was perfectly fine and comfortable both for the 2.5 hour ride and the trip!

My doc said no flying after 32 weeks.

No issues at all at that point in time. I travelled almost weekly with my DD and my OB said to stop at 32 weeks. My last flight was at 31.5 weeks. The worst part was having to pee often and if there is turbulence and they put the seatbelt sign on, you just have to hold it! I found aisle seats near the bathroom were best because you could quickly go even if it's a time when they'd prefer you stay seated. This time around, I already have plans to travel at 28 weeks and have a few possible plans up until 32 weeks.
