Transporting food questions..
So, we want to surprise friends of ours by bringing steak and lobster down for NYE...I am sure they have the lobster where they are but we really like our butcher and don't know if we can find the same quality where they are..do you think it's possible to take these things down to DE? TIA!

Yes, pack the cooler as tightly as you can. The least "open space" possible, the better. Keep the cooler closed and pack lots of ice/ice packs. Make sure the steaks are ice cold when you put them in.

Re: Transporting food questions..
When we went camping, we kept the cooler in our car the whole time and just kept lots of ice all over. So I agree with maybe freezing them, them packing them in a small cooler with lots of ice and ice packs. Maybe even wrap them in foil.

Definitely best, but wasn't sure if you were going to freeze them first. Just pack tight!
