totallty failed 3 hour test
I'm right now rushing to get a dietician appt and a glucometer prior to leaving for europe on tues
ugh! I suspected this would happen...

nope, it's GD. that's it. I failed my 1st and 2nd hour time point... by a fairly large margin (20 points).
I have to be low carb and monitoring my sugars with a monitor 
It's fine.... I'll adjust. so many women on this board have to deal with sooo much more than this. At least I can still otherwise do what I want.
but it's stressful getting all of this order when I leave so soon

Don't worry....It's not that hard, the glucometers are fairly easy to use and your a smart cookie so you will be fine

thanks everyone...
the GOOD news is that a specialist in GD at stony brook had a sudden cancellation and I grabbed her 10AM appointment tomorrow! So, it looks like I'll have my meter and my dietician appt all taken care of by lunchtime....
what a MAJOR relief. That was the major stressor in this situation... to not be able to get all of that arranged before we leave on tuesday...

My SIL had GD and it was really no sweat for her. She just adjusted her carbs and made sure to eat at regular intervals.

well, over the phone I got the low-down
no juice, soda, potatoes, rice, pasta, white bread, desserts, candies at all.....
scones and near beer are in there too
I am only allowed whole wheat bread, certain whole fruits, and other whole grain products in moderation...
ugh... well, I'm hoping it truly is gestational, and it goes away in the fall......
