Toss it or Keep it?? A WWYD
So DH left the mayo out overnight. I just saw it now. It's a full jar.
I call him to b!tch about it and tell him I am throwing it out and he says "why it's still good, just hot. Put it back in the fridge."
Now I threw it out. But was wondering what everyone else would do?
ETA: My DH always says to do the weirdest things. Like one day he told me that the bread was still good just cut around the mold. 
I honestly don't think he would actually do that if he had too. At least I hope he wouldn't.

I would probably toss it because it was mayo, but if he did it with jelly/mustard, etc. I would keep it.

i have done this too and i tossed it.
i mean its not refrigerated when you buy it but when you open it it says refrigerate .

This has actually happened to us a couple of times (DH of course left it out!  ) I tossed it but he argues that it's fine. I personally, would not want to take the chance though.

I was in a similiar situation- I accidentally left out a can of rediwhip. Just bought it too. I tossed it. I couldn't stomach thinking about the fact it was left out over night!

but i've also cut off a little mold on a piece of bread and still used it for toast

Same here- mayo is one thing I don't mess with. I always tell DH not to leave it out. If by change he does I always just toss it.

While I am as well, mayo is not a dairy product...even so, it does go bad if left out so I'd toss it.

I thought that mayo would go bad if heated.
why do they store it in a non fridge aisle? it's not like it's suctioned closed or anything, just a tamper proof plastic thingy.
i would've tasted it and kept it if it tasted okay.
but, i am rare. i keep things as long as they don't turn green or smell bad.
