If we get a tornado would that be considered the tri-fecta of crappy weather?

earthquake, tornado, hurricane?

Sooo true!! I actually heard them say on the weather last night that typically when a tornado comes with a hurricane it's not as strong. However any tornado sounds scary to me!!

That is why I left. Though now I think were having tornado watches upstate and they had warnings just 2 days ago. Tornados terrify me.

I haven't heard that about them being not as strong but my thought is if we're going to have winds in excess of 70mph how much more damage is a tornado going to do? In for a penny in for a pound. Ya dig?

So what precautions does one take with a tornado watch? Should DH and I take turns watching the news in case it becomes a warning? We had a warning on Sunday and it was pretty nerve-wracking for a while. DH is from the midwest so he has more experience with those than I do- luckily- because I was inclined to blow it off.

There's a way to sign up for warnings to be sent to your cell phone. Can't remember what the link is, but I am sure weather.com probably has a way to sign up for mobile updates. Maybe even news 12 has it.
