Took a little tumble with baby....need input
So yesterday I was rushing into the house and was carrying DS in his infant carrier carseat (we have the Graco snugride35). The carseat was hanging from my arm like the way you hold a handbag....like where your arm bends. I was rushing up the front stoop and fell onto my knees and the car seat came straight down onto the pavement. It was maybe 12 inches from the ground when it made contact with the pavement. So the actual base of the carseat hit the ground. He was obviously all buckled in and the car seat is all padded but I'm worried he might be hurt. He seems fine today but do you think the impact might have hurt him? I'm wondering if I should call the doctor.

I am sure he is just FINE! If he wasn't, you surely would have seen the effects by now. Glad nobody was seriously hurt

THE carriers are meant to absorb shock as they go in the car and keep the baby safe..god forbid an accident.
im sure he's fine. and its not like the carrier tumbled over..it hit straight down.

Thanks everyone. I called my mom right after it happened and she assured me he was fine b/c he's so securely padded in the seat but for some reason I cant stop thinking about the what-ifs. I called the Dr anyways and I'm going to take him in tomorrow....just for my own peace of mind.
I hope he's ok

Awe, hopefully the Ped will be able to confirm that he is totally alright. That must have been so scary, I'm glad you BOTH didn't get hurt!!
