Toddler bed?

How long would a kid realistically use a toddler bed? I want to get dd a "big girl" bed before the baby comes in March. Not sure if I should just go straight for a twin. She's almost 2...

MY boys are 3yr but we have the crib converted to toddler bed. We also don't really have room for toddler bed but will probably convert in the summer.

GO straight for the twin..IMO toddler beds are a waste. we took DS out of the crib because he was all over and needed more room....a toddler bed would not have given him anything other than no bars.

I haven't decided yet but may just buy a twin bed and buy rails separately.

Toddler bed?

AJ was in there from 20-4yrs So 2ish years. Seemed fine by me, at that point it was better to have more space for toys etc.. older she got the less space she needed.

I loved her toddler bed. She used it when we had guests over by moving it into our room.

I'm resistant to getting rid of it actually. LOL

Both of my kids went from cribs (around 2.5) to toddler beds.

My daughter (3), who is in the 90% for height and weight is in one right now with plenty of room to move around and grow. Not planning to change to a twin for a while.

I think you can make it with a toddler bed till probably like 5 depending on your DC maybe even longer but with that said I would just go straight to a twin or bigger if you don't own a toddler bed.

I used a toddler bed only because my crib converted to one when DS came along we moved DD who was almost 3 to a full size beds and got bed rails if we didn't have the toddler bed already I would have went straight to a full size bed.

DDs crib converts to a toddler bed. She will use that until if and when we have #2.

DS 1 moved out of the toddler bed around 4. The only reason why we got one is because a neighbor gave it to us - otherwise I would've gone straight to twin.
