yeah wait til you see the 2nd one.
i had pretty much the SAME EXACT feelings as you after seeing the 1st video.......
in the 2nd one theres MUCH MORE "eveidence" to proove the boys' innocence............... or rather proove the stepdads guilty.
also, damien mentions about the "boogy man" comment.
i should really re-rent Paradise Lost 2 to refresh my memory on the whole thing.
i dont remember the first one much, but isnt the stepdad such an actor?!?! hes ridiculous.
you really have to see the 2nd one....
did you know that the step dad killed his wife too?!!
or should i say she died form "uncertain circumstances". thats right! she is in the original video i belive, but when they filmed the 2nd one she was dead. "found dead in her sleep" UH HUH!
i cant wait til you see the next one to see your reaction. i think it will blow your mind!

I don't know if they are innocent or guilty but I think they are entitled to have a DNA test done. Their supporters have raised the money so the governor should let them do it. Especially since Damien is on death row.

Like Jes said, watch the second one- you really get to see the stepdad in action. I had suspicions as well, but after seeing how crazy the stepdad was, my suspicisons of the boys lessened.

oh yeah! i can definitely see that coming. DH and i alreday think he did it... everything about him seemed sooo fake and SO freaky and SO manipulative. but i'm looking foward to seeing part 2 where there's more evidence.

I remember watching this documentary years back (damn that HBO) and I couldn't sleep for days! I was/still am on the fence for 2 reasons:
1. the "yeah whatever" attitude of the 3 boys. Which just makes no sense, I know if I was WRONGLY accused of something- I'd be VERY verbal and strong against it. You can argue that they have a lack of education,resources and common sense-coming from such a wacky town.
But come on,even my very old,non-english speaking,4th grade educated great-grandmother knows how to take a stance and argue a point reasonably.
2. Crazy azz step-dad. The man is not Holy, he's a LOONEY! Although he's clearly lovin' the attention and camera,I don't feel he killed his wife. She simply might of died from years of drug and alcohol abuse to her body.
My one question is: IF he did do it, when? Did he have an alibi for where he was from the time the boys went missing to when they were discovered???

this was weird to me too. i would have been Passiontely proclaiming that i did NOT do it... i really dont think i'd be as laid back as they were Regardless of that though, i dont think the courts had anough 'evidence' to sentence them to life terms, IMO.

i dont feel they were nonchalant about it at all.
the only thing was damiens boogyman comment that was bothersome.... other than that i dont know.
