Today is a special day (religious post...)
It is St. Gerard's Feast Day. I went to mass at St. Gerard's in Port Jeff, and even though they weren't doing anything special I wanted to go. I had gone several times will TTC for the special blessing they they do (first weekend of each month). I have prayed to him almost daily and I know my Mom and some aunts have been doing their Novena's for me.
So anyway, when I lit my candle and prayed today, I thanked him for my answered prayer, asked for a safe and health pregnancy and asked that he bless all of you ladies as well. I couldn't remember all your names, so just said "for my friends still struggling". I hope my prayers will be answered quickly for you all.
On the way out, I told the priest our (DH and my) story. He was ecstatic and pulled me aside with my Mom and gave me a special blessing and prayer for a healthy pregnancy, safe delivery and for God to protect us always. I almost cried. Then he gave me a big hug and blessed my belly!
If anyone would like the prayer for Motherhood, let me know and I can FM it to you (or you can steal it off of my profile page here). I felt I owed St. Gerard some thanks and gratitude today and wanted to express how truly blessed I feel.

Thank You! I carry around the St. Gerard prayer for motherhood and the St. Anne prayer for IF. Thank you for thinking of us. The power of prayer goes along way.

Definitely a special day!!!!!!! I have worn my medal through my infertility journey and got a new one to wear through my pregnancy. I was never a religious person before but I found great comfort in it throughout my struggles.

I am sitting here crying my eyes out reading this...I am thinking about my own journey and so glad you are on your way to your own happy ending.
I hope those prayers bring all of the other ladies on this board happy endings, also!
