Thyroid issues

My cycle is pretty regular and 10 days after AF my DH and I either everyday or every other day. We have been trying since Feb. and no BFP yet. I read if you get AF regular, it could be a thyroid issue. I did have blood work done before we started TTC, but don't remember if thyroid levels were checked. Are there symptoms of thyroid problems? My doctor said to make an appt with her after we are trying for a year so that would be late jan.early feb.

I had almost perfect 28 day cycles and no issues with thyroid or anything else they could find. We tried for 1.5 years before trying infertility treatments. I had 2 medicated IUIs and was just about to start IVF when I got PG on my own.

The only thing the Drs could tell me from my tests was that age was a factor for me.

So it could be anything....you would need a bunch of tests to find out if its anything.

i have hypothyroidism, was diagnosed at age 16. since forever (or 12) I have had VERY regular periods. every 30/31 days and that never changed with my hypothyroidism though I do know that it can affect TTC.

we conceived DS our first month so no, no impact for me.

other symptoms of hypothyroidism are - feeling tired, dry skin, irritability, thirst, weight gain or a hard time losing weight, hair loss, problems focusing.

i have thryoid issues..i dont know if it effects my fertlity that much bc i have a whole bag of other issues which it is why it is taking so long for us

have u had a physical and or blood test recently..if so i am sure they check ur tsh levels and if they were high they would tell u..call the office and see and to give u peace of mind u could have some blood taken

i know how difficult it is when u r trying and trying and no result and we want to find the answer to solve it...but sometimes the grass is not greener on that side either

i have hypothyriodism (underactive thyriod)...i didnt really know i had it until i went for a physical and they did bloodwork. a thyriod workup is common when you go for a physical - you dont ask for it, its just one of the test they automatically run.
symptoms would be different if you had overactive vs underactive. i know what they said some of my symtpoms are (underactive) - tiredness and weightgain
i have been treating my issue for almost 3 years and they said it would not effect my fertility

I would try starting 8 days from the 1st day of AF. Good luck!!

I don't think TREATED thyroid issues pose any problems with TTC but untreated ones certainly could!
