...if the meds worked, how long did it take until you saw an improvement?
DS just started Zantac today

Zantac never worked for us, only works for like 40% of kids it is just an acid neutralizer. Once we got her on prevacid which is an acid neutralizer and prohibitor she was a new baby in 48 hours!

Zantac worked for my DS. Took about almost a week to see a difference but I think a formula change also contributed to the improvement.

I saw an improvement in 24 hours on Zantac...He was a totally new kid in about 3 days...But it tastes horrible and DS stopped taking it about a month ago. We switched to Axid. It isn't as strong, so he gets an extra dose of it a day. But it does help..

Zantac didnt work for DS. When we switched to prilosec we noticed a difference in a few days.

My dd was on Axid, Prevacid, prilosec and a few more (can't remember b/c it was almost 4 years ago) I'm sorry to say though nothing worked and believe it or not I had to wait 8 months before I saw any kind of improvement. After the sixth month we slowly stopped all meds and a month later she started acting like a different kid. One GI told me that it was basically colic and that it will eventually just stop on its own. He was not a fan of giving children adult medications and advised me to stop everything we were giving her. Since they weren't working anyway we tried it his way.
So we just had to sit and wait..and that's what we did.
