Those with 2 or more kids

My twins are starting to get invited to kiddie birthday parties. They are 2

My question is if 2 of your kids are attending the same kiddie party (ex the little gym) should I be giving a bigger gift because I have 2 kids going?

I say yes dh and my mom say no.
Also about how much do you spend on a kiddie bday party gift (not including close friends)?

I don't think it is expected for siblings to give a bigger gift. I usually spendabout $25, regardless of whether one or both of boys attend.

I give a nicer gift if both girls attend. The person is paying for 2 kids to come. This is what everyone I know does as well. When we had siblings (unless they were babies) come to my DD's birthday they brought either 2 gifts or one nicer one ($40-50 range or 2 around $15-$25 range each). Card was signed by both kids.

If both of my kids are invited to a party I give a bigger gift. If we attend a party for twins we buy two gifts. It is the same for when we receive gifts from siblings or twins - they give us either two or bigger single gifts.

it might not be double....but if and when this happens it will prob be more than if one was going!

I always give at least 2 gifts if both my kids attend. I tend to put an add on gift anyways.

eta: if I see a good deal, I stock up on classmate gifts. We go to at least one party per weekend. it saves time and money. I've stocked up on Melissa doug toys (birthday cakes, pizza making, etc.), play doh sets, wooden puzzles, angry birds, etc.

How would you feel if twins were coming to your party? I would personally try to do something alittle nicer then average.

When I go to twins' birthday parties I buy two gifts. So I would assume if I am bringing two kids, I am either bringing two gifts or a "nicer" than normal gift. A normal gift for a classmates bday for me is usually $20-$25.

Thanks everyone! I agree with you but DH sometimes thinks I am too generous. I am going to pick up another small gift tom before the party.

I usually spend $30 instead of $20 when both are going.

I spend double if both my kids are going. The hosts are paying for two children so it only makes sense to give two gifts or one more expensive gift.

I would double the gift amount. The host is paying double for two kids to play, eat, etc. so I think the gift should reflect that.

I like to think that parties aren't about how much you spend on a gift, but being there for the birthday kid and bringing a gift that is thoughtful and within your means. I don't judge attendees by the gift they bring. I typically spend between $20 and $$35 for classmate parties. Depends inmy situation at the moment (how many other bills I have that month) whether one ir both of my kids attend, and how close my kid is to the birthday kid. If it were a party for twins, I would bring two presents or a bigger present that is meant for sharing/two person play. For close friends of mine, I spend usually spend between $40and $60

No way, they are not throwing party to make a return gifts.
If I have a tag a long kid, then yes, I give more.
But twins both invited? No way. I would buy two cheaper gifts if they both want to walk in carrying something
