This is a roller coaster! FINAL UPDATE!
Final Update-
Transfer is set for Thursday!!! yay!!
Please ladies I need all the prayers I can get. Its been such an emotional rollercoaster!
Update 3/6 - So I went in for a sono this morning to see if there was any signs of OHSS. There was no fluid in my ovaries, I lost 3 pounds since my ER & the nurse didnt feel any bloat in my stomach.
She said she thinks the Dr is solely basing his decisions on my e2 numbers.
I think I am going to push for a Thur transfer. The nurse said once the fluid is gone, it wont come back once you are preg.
I appreciate your support so much & I dont know what I would do w/o you ladies!

Dr. Brenner called (I was told at my retrieval he is very conservative) and he tells me that given my estradiol levels and the amount of eggs retrieved he recommends freezing the embryos until next month b/c I am at risk for OHSS.
I have been doing anything & everything I can to preven this (I am also on OHSS meds to prevent this).
I do not want to have to freeze my embies b/c I am just afraid the quality wont be as good & I am ready to do this on Thurs.
I asked to come in tomorrow for blood & sono to see my ovaries and levels and this way they can at least determine if my body is calming itself down.
WWYD? has anyone ever been in this predicament before? Dr says you wont know you have OHSS until about 8 days after, its been 3 days for me.
This is such a roller coaster and I dont know how much more I can take.

I had mild OHSS that was horrid after retrieval but by my 5dt i felt a lot better. at that point im not even sure if it was truly OHSS or just craziness from high e2. I had 18 eggs retrieved but e2 was over 6000. We still did the transfer, they didn't even question it.
however a few days after my BFP OHSS came on in FULL FORCE. i really looked 6-7months pregnant and could barely walk and couldn't sleep on my belly at all. but i would prob do it again if i was given a choice.
find out what your most recent e2 is. rumor has it that e2 over 5000 can lower implantation rates so thats why some doctors are very conservative with this. do you have any symptoms of OHSS or is your doctor just basing this off of your numbers? if it were me and e2 was low enough and i wasn't very symptomatic i would try to convince the dr to just do it. good luck!!
ps - even if you do an FET, youre eggs will be ok!!

At my retrieval my e2 was over 4000. He is basing his opinion solely on my numbers before the retrieval & the fact that I triggered w/Lupron.
The Dr didnt even suggest I come in to take another blood & sono! I am the one who had to ask for it
I have a little bloat but nothing where I am uncomfortable.
He did say that it gets worse within a week. They were planning for a d5t.
I just feel like I am going to lose my eggs and will have to do this all over again if we freeze

Even though I've had a ton of eggs, I've never experienced OHSS. But, I'd make the decision on obviously what's best for your health. You may think your Dr. is being conservative but he is the Dr. and is hopefully looking out for your best interest, chances etc. and is speaking from his knowledge and experience. You don't want to have any regrets or what ifs. If you had a lot of embryos, I think your decision would be easier. They'll freeze the best embryos on Day 5 and you can always go from there.

I would do the sonogram and bw then see how your body is and feels. I think I had OHSS after my retrieval. I explained this to the doctor right before my transfer, but on the sonogram she said they look fine even though the discomfort said otherwise. Went through with the transfer and BFN. I then did a FET right after and I was still feeling as if I was going through OHSS, but sono said otherwise. I took off the past 3 months to let my body heal. They feel normal now so I am starting a natural fet cycle this week.

i'm thinking it has to be your numbers that's causing him to suggest not going thru with it this cycle. During my last cycle I had tons of follies (like 40) and they retrieved 17 eggs. I was taking the meds to prevent OHSS also but i guess since my e levels were normal they didnt cancel my cycle. I did go in 2 days after ER and it was found that i had some fluid in my abdomen but Dr. Brenner still went ahead with the ET on day 5.... and as you know....that cycle didnt work...so maybe freezing and waiting is not a bad idea??

Thanks Ellie- Im just confused on why he didn't have me in to ck my fluid levels & I had to ask to come in. That def annoyed me a lil!
I guess only time can tell & if it means I need my body to calm down then do let it be.

i'm surprised he didnt suggest you coming in either.....i'm glad you suggested it. Drink lots of gatorade and rest, hopefully you can still go thru with your ET this cycle.

No, actually Dr Kukkanon (sp?) is doing the transfer. Its fine, she actually did my ER also so maybe its a good sign
