They didn't hear a hearbeat tonight! (Update #2)
Ok so I am 9 wks 2 days along. Went for a check up tonight and no heartbeat with the little doppler machine they put on your stomach! The dr said it might be too early to hear with the little machine. God I am hoping that is the case but to be sure he is sending me to the hospital tomorrow to have a sonogram!
Send some prayers our way please to make sure everything is okay.
Did they ever happen to you or anyone you know?
UPDATE# 1 - First I have to thank you all for your and . I would be freaking out without all of you. I have a sonogram at the hospital at 2:30 today since my dr's office closes early on Friday's. I will let you all know how it turns out! I am sure it will fine after reading all of your experiences.
UPDATE #2 - BABY IS PERFECT!!!! HE OR SHE MEASURED EXACTLY 10 WKS TODAY. BPM WAS 163! I EVEN GOT TO SEE LITTLE ARMS AND LEGS!!!

I think it's still too early to hear it. At 9 weeks we were only able to see it on the sono. Try not to worry!

9 weeks seams very early.... they waited until 12 for this preg and 14 for ds... also with ds they always had issues finding it because of placenta placement

Re: They didn't hear a hearbeat tonight!
I can't understand why some doctors try to use the doppler that early. All it does is upset mothers.
My doctor doesn't use the doppler until 16 weeks. It's not strong enough to hear the heartbeat at that point.

Re: They didn't hear a hearbeat tonight!
9 weeks is WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY too early to hear a heartbeat by Doppler......
They couldn't even hear it at 14 weeks on me.......
Don't fret.......

Re: They didn't hear a hearbeat tonight!
I'm surprised they tried-it's rare to hear that early. They usually do a sono to see it, but you don't usually get to hear it with the doppler until around week 12. I bet everything is fine

Re: They didn't hear a hearbeat tonight!
at 9 weeks my dr tried the doppler and didnt hear anything. she asked if the sono tech could squeeze me in and when she did, there was the heartbeat on the screen. she said she hated when they use the doppler too early, its not really useful until 12 weeks.

Re: They didn't hear a hearbeat tonight!
at 12 weeks my OB had a lot of trouble finding heartbeat with doppler, so it wouldn't surprise me that at 9 weeks they couldn't find one on you.

You are probably too early to hear the heartbeat with a doppler. Sending you prayers!

Re: They didn't hear a hearbeat tonight!
I had my 12 week sono and then the dr checked for heartbeart with the doppler and they could not hear it. We knew everything was ok because we just saw it. She said it is still early. They started checking and heard it at 16 week appt.

I think that's just to early! Same thing happened to me, and the mid-wife freaked me out, which is why I'll never see a mid-wife again lol.
I'm sure all is well, keep us updated!

Re: They didn't hear a hearbeat tonight!
If it's with the doppler, they say those aren't reliable until AT LEAST 10 weeks and often 12. If you're fluffier in the middle it also makes it less likely to hear it. I don't even understand why a doctor would cause you that stress since everything I've read says 9 weeks is too early. Don't stress - it's still very early.
