The WORST Ultrasound ever BUT....
we found out what we're having! 
It's a boy!   I am SO excited. My gut told me boy but I was just really thinking it was a girl. I even started thinking about girl names and DD growing up with a sister.
Now for my U/S. Uggh what a lame experience. We don't even have ONE single picture. 
I am trying not to be bummed out but I am. I may call the hospital and see if they save the U/S and could print them out somewhere else. I mean what a bummer not to get one picture. The tech wasn’t mean per se but just really not friendly. I was trying to be friendly and ask about her job and all and she’s all “It’s just a job”. OK great. Then she didn’t tell us what she was looking at or anything. I had to ask. So she did at least ask if we wanted to know the sex. So she goes about her business and says “OK all done I’m going to go get the doctor” ***? So I said “Oh did you find out what we’re having” She says “Yes do you want to know” OMG are you kidding me. So I said “It’s another girl right” she says “No it looks like a boy” I said “Can I buy blue?” She goes “Or green”. It didn’t bother at the time because I was excited that the baby seemed OK but the more I’ve been thinking about it the more annoyed I am.
The doctor came in and was nice enough to show us the boy parts. I asked about a picture and that's when I was told that the printer is broken. Great!
In the end all that matter is that baby boy is healthy and looks good but I would like to somehow get one picture for his baby book. DD has SO many. How can he not have one.

I agree. I would have been devastated if this was my first pregnancy. I feel bad for girls who get this chick and it's their first time around.

I have a bunch of pics from random sonos (spotting and such) but none where it really looked like a baby. I think I'm going to call the hospital tomorrow and see if I get anywhere.

I left my very first sono for my first child with no pictures. I cried all day and DH called and complained and they printed out a picture for us to pick up that afternoon. In our case the sono tech told me they don't do that (give out pictures). The administrator DH talked to seemed shocked that we had been told that. But, they had the sono pics saved and were able to print them out.
Definitely call or have your DH call and say he has a hormonal pregnant woman who wants a picture! GL!

some of these techs are miserable, they need to get over themselves. yes it's their "job" but if they don't like dealing w/ questions and new parents they should do something else w/ thier lives.

Congratulation on your baby boy. Was this just a routine ultrasound or was it the anatomy scan or something? If it was I would think they'd need the pictures for your file.

It was the Level II U/S. I figure they must have it saved somewhere so I'm going to call today and see.
It was done at a local hospital out here so no worries for those of you in NY.
