The Normal Heart
Did anyone else watch this on HBO? I watched it tonight and bawled my eyes out, I can't remember a time I was so emotionally moved by a film.

I saw it last night. I LOVED it! It reminded me a little bit of Angels In America. I wish I had seen the play! I can't wait to watch it again.
Matt Bomer naked was also an added bonus!

Loved it beyond words. And The Band Played On has always been my standard movie when discussing the 80's AIDS epidemic, this is now. It shows the personal side of it so much more, in many ways I feel ATBPO is more scientific.
And yes, Matt Bomer, good God!

I seriously don't know if we could survive without HBO! I could drop just about everything else, but would need hbo. Between GoT, True Blood, the newsroom (which is ending and I'm pissed about)...

OMG!!! I cried so much. it was beautifully done the statistics at the end of the movie was terrifying
I never realized how in denial the government was about the AIDS epidemic.
how scarred people were to be near an HIV patient it was totally heartbreaking

I also thought it was cool that HBO used their logo from the 80's when the movie was starting! Nice touch.
Mark Ruffalo totally looked like Andy Cohen in this movie!
ETA: That scene with Mickey was just heartbreaking. I was ugly crying and I actually felt his frustration & despair.
I can't even imagine possibly thinking that the government created this virus to wipe out the gay population?!? Scary stuff!
