The doc just called
I failed my one-hour from yesterday with a 161. I took the one hour previously at 13 weeks and failed with a 138 - my doc likes it to be under 130 . I ended up passing the 3 hour with flying colors. Now that I'm at the "normal" time to take it, and the number is high, he is almost certain I have GD, but only the 3 hour will confirm it.
I'm also very anemic and have to start taking additional iron.
Ugh.

I'm very anemic and taking additional iron too. I'm taking Slow iron and taking it with 2 fiber tablets. No stomach issues at all yet.

I failed with a 161, too! And I just found out I PASSED the 3-hour. Don't give up hope yet, you could still pass. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

When do you have to take it?
I too am very anemic and take iron pills even when not pg. I have found myself craving steak about every 3 days for the past week as well - at least that part is enjoyable

Like Shorty, I am also very anemic & have been taking the Slow Iron for over a week now with no stomach issues. If anything, it is keeping me regulated

you just may pass your 3 hour. i was so sick after my 1 hour and failed it. doc. were convinced i would be a GD. But i passed the 3 hour with flying colors!
i too have to take iron for the anemia but i take colace to help avoid any potty issues!

Good luck with the three hour!
I am always anemic. My dr said to focus on what you are eating, not just the vitamins. Lots of red meats and green veggies! This will also keep you low carb and help if you have GD...
