The commericals for Little Miss Perfect on WE disturb me!
Anyone watch that show?
I haven't seen a full episode- just bits and pieces- and don't even get me started on it.
But the commerical the other day really put me over the edge.
They have these dental devices- called flippers- that they make the little girls wear on stage to cover up crooked teeth or missing teeth (Like all normal little kids have when they lose their baby teeth!)
This thing slips over their teeth and makes them look like they have these perfectly straight, ridiculously white teeth. Half the time they are too big for their mouths though so the girls end up looking all bizzare when they smile.
I just found it SOOOO disturbing that they do this to little girls.
Not to mention the spray tanning, hair extensions and more makeup caked on their faces than Kim Kardashian!
I swear to you my husband actually paused the Tivo on one girl's face. She was about 6 and they had her made up to look at least 30!!! He could not believe it!
What on earth is this teaching the children? I wonder about the mothers involved in this...

I never seen the show, but I know what you're talking about b/c I've seen the commercial. It really disturbs me. THey're little girls... they should not be wearing all that stuff to make them look older.

i cannot stand it either. i find it to be the moms living vicariously through their kids because they have insecurities they have never dealt with.

The most recent commercial makes me laugh.
One girl is asked if she is having fun, she replies 'NO'
Another girl looks at her mother and in a soft stern voice is saying "I - HATE - YOU"
What lovely children.

What lovely children.
 I almost can't blame the kids though.
They just want to be normal kids and the mom's are forcing them into this lifestyle- yelling at them to walk straight, do this, do that.
No wonder they have a lot of pent up anger!

i've seen it b/c im home on maternity and durng the day i would catch it. Im very disturbed by this show and what parents do to their kids for these pagents. Often times its the parents living through their children.
all i can think of is Jon Benet Ramsey.
those girls are spray tanned, have pro makeup and hair people travel with them, its insanity.
i didnt see the teeth episode..only the commercial for it..and the little girl could barely move her face b/c of them.

DH and I saw the same exact commercial and were shocked. I cant believe parents would have their children do that.

I got sucked into it last week and my mouth hung open much of the time 
The kid had a flipper and she seriously looked like Mr Ed, even the judges were commenting on how bad it looked. What really disturbed me is there was one little girl whose Mom wanted her as natural as possible and she didn't let them go crazy on her with make-up and hair and the people there pretty much told her she didn't have chance and no one does all natural To me it looked like the kids weren't even enjoying it that much and to hear their own mothers critique them I wanted to vomit. I don't think I could watch it again it upset me so much, especially having a DD.

The commercials creep me the hell out. These little girls look like they have the head of a 40 y/o women attached to the body of a 3 y/o. Disturbs me on so many levels.

ITA!! But I also think that the people who hold these pageants and the people who are hired to make sure these girls walk straight and the people who do their hair/make-up are just as disgusting if not more!!
This is why child pornography is so common.
And really...some of the outfits and bathing suits aren't even suitable for an adult.

I watch this show. It can be mesmerizing, but in a bad way like watching an accident . The flippers scare the crap out of me. Many of these people are like borderline poverty and they are shelling out thousands of dollars to earn a plastic tiara. CRAZY!!
