Temping on vacation?
So DH and I are going to FL on Sunday! I'm really excited; we could both use a break and a change of scenery. I want to keep temping this cycle, but am not happy about waking up at 6 every day. But I don't want to abandon it altogether; I like knowing whether or not I O'd and when to expect AF. I'm due to O two days after we get home.
Should I (a) Leave my thermometer at home, chill on the beach, and deal with an inaccurate chart (b) Take it with me and wake up (c) Come up with some other solution
Help! I could use some suggestions!

Re: Temping on vacation?
Since you're not due to O until a couple of days after you get home, I say leave the thermometer at home!
We're supposed to go away for the weekend, but since I'm due to O while we're away I'm taking mine along for the trip ... and my OPKs too

I'd go with option A. You already said you guys can really just use some time away and a break.
I would just pick back up when you get home. And your on vacation anyway....BD your vacation away!!!

Re: Temping on vacation?
I'd say A.
But if you think the inaccurate chart is really going to bug you how about pushing your time back to 7 to compromise? I know it's not something you would normally do because it can alter the temps but I feel like the 1 hour difference would be so slight. And when you're looking at your chart you'll know the days you temped at 7 and be able to take that into account.
Enjoy your vacation!

Re: Temping on vacation?
If you are someone that will be able to fall back to sleep after you take your temperature than I would wake up. I would probably be able to fall back asleep very shortly. And if you don't fall back to sleep...at least you have all day to hopefully relax on the beach or at the pool.

I am voting A Rachel! I bet if you unwind and completely relax it will make for some BFPs next month- good luck!

DH agrees with all of you, and I probably will leave it here... but I may smuggle it in my carry-on. Hopefully will bring home a "souvenir!"

at a souvenir!
The more I think about it, the more I would probably end up bringing it with me just in case I felt like I wanted to temp ... but going with the intention that its ok to take a short break from it.
