telling daddy
hey girls, hopefully we will all have to pop the news to dh-SOON! if i can bear to hold it in instead of blurting it out immediately, i would like to come up with a cute way to tell him, especially since this is our first. he did a great job proposing, and i figure this is my one time to surprise him! any ideas???

Re: telling daddy
Yeah I will probably buy him a small gift that symbolizes fatherhood and have him open it. It would have to be within one day cause I cant keep it that long.

Re: telling daddy
I bought a BUMP tank top (Baby Under Manufacturing Process). I plan on wearing it WHEN I get my BFP and waiting until he notices.
I'm also giving him a Daddy book I bought called "She's Having a Baby....and I'm Going Crazy"
I've had these things in my underwear drawer for quite a few months now. I can't wait to finally pull them out and put them to use

Re: telling daddy
I on having our dog (our first baby!) wear this and see how long it takes him to notice. I suspect it will be quick since we don't usually dress our dog.

Same here I did buy a cute frame that says: Daddy & Me. Been hiding it for so long I'm not sure where it is anymore!

Re: telling daddy
I have no restraint. As soon as I took the test and it said pregnant I went into the bedroom where he was sleeping and said "get up and read this NOW!"

BABABAHAHAHAHAH That is an awesome idea! I love it!!!!
I think I will always POAS when DH is around but sometimes he works over night & if I cant hold it till he gets home in the morning than I will probably video tape me looking at the stick for the first time so he can see my first reaction to finding out we are going to be parents.
Then I will tell him that I saw this really cool video and I want him to watch it really quickly.
HTH!

Re: telling daddy
My DH is a big golfer and caddies in the summer, so I bought a onesie that says Daddy's Caddy. It's green so gender neutral. I'll probably give him that and show him the HPT.

Re: telling daddy
With my first I just showed him the stick when he got home from work.
When #2 comes along, I plan on getting DS a big brother shirt and having him walk out in it.
My friend made her DH a scrapbook of their married life (in advance while they were TTC) and on the last page she put a picture of a stork .
For my ILs/Dad, we used picture frames (#1 Grandpa) and in the picture put a picture of a stork with teh words Baby XXX coming Dec 2007.

Re: telling daddy
This is such a great post. I remember watching Full House many, many MANY years ago lol when Rebecca told Jesse she was pregnant by making him dinner and had each food miniature sized and it took him a while to realize what she was saying. Does anyone else remember this?
