teething in toddler - sore to the touch?
for the last few days my 2.5 year old has been having soreness on the right side of her mouth. i know this because when i squeezed her cheeks to kiss her, she cried out in pain, and when i went to brush her teeth yesterday she nearly jumped through the roof. i am so worried that this is some kind of tooth problem and not teething, but of course she won't let me near it to take a look. does anyone have any thoughts or experience with this?? can molars breaking through make a side of the mouth sore? she seems to be eating fine, even on that side.

Re: teething in toddler - sore to the touch?
When my son was cutting his molars, his cheeks always seemed to be sore. He would also get a lot of sores inside his mouth from chewing on the inner part of his cheeks to help soothe the pain. My pedi said to give tylenol as needed and ice pops were great..
