We aren't entitled to a rebate 
But, if we were to get it, we'd probably just deposit into either our money market our mutual fund.

This i why the the rebates won't stimulate the economy like they want it to. They want you SPEND it.
That being said, I am doing the same thing..... PAYING OFF CC DEBT. I need to pay off the debt that I have before my student loans kick in next year.
