I have the charge. My only annoyance is that unlike places like Macy's, they can't look it up if you left it home. i don't even know where my card is. But anyway, the 5% off across the board is awesome, especially for saving 5% off the top of the gift cards and therefore your entire Disney vacation if you want. The only thing with the debit is that there is a limit, so i've heard of people having to do multiple trips at least at first. I know of some people who get it JUST for the 5% off Disney gift cards.

Last time I was at Target, the cashier told me I just needed to bring in a blank check if I wanted to sign up for the Debit card and have the funds come directly from my checking account.
I just keep forgetting to carry around a blank check with me.
All of my purchases are straight from my debit card, so it's something I'd consider.

I got the debit card mainly for the free shipping because their shipping is $$$ if you're spending under $50. I'm a credit card shopper because I get airline miles. I don't make huge purchases at Target, so typically, if I'm shopping at the store, I'll still use my credit card because I'd rather get 30 airline miles if I'm spending $30, over $1.50 off.

or just take the little pamphlet across from the register  you can fill it out and mail it in! Thats what I did! (make sure its for Debit, not credit or vice versa)

I have the debit card and it's great. The 5% adds up and the free shipping is fantastic! So worth it.

You can use it to do almost anything. I have clients who pay for their entire vacation in gift cards. I know that doing it online there is sometimes a limit to how many cards you can use, but you can always do it by phone.

Are you saying you can get 5% off of the gift cards they sell near the registers (for restaurants, other stores, etc.) I thought those were excluded... that would be a real steal!

As long as it's not a TARGET gift card or a CASH gift card (like Amex, Visa, etc) it works!

We got the debit card because we didn't want to open up any more credit. it was easy and it's the BEST!
same here! best thing ever since i am a Target fanatic   i easily spend 100 minimum there a week so when i finally did the card it was so nice to have the extra 5%!
wish i'd done it earlier!
