Talk to me about Strep
My 4 year old woke last night with a low grade fever. He said his ears hurt and his belly. I never gave him any meds and he went back to sleep. Woke with no fever, but just a little tired and not much of an appetite. Finally was able to have a plain pancake this morning. Since we are going to DC tomorrow I took him to the docs even though he seemed much better as the day went on. Well, he has strep and started him on meds immediately. Doc said he should be fine to go tomorrow, but keep taking the meds and won't be contagious. Any advise? He seems fine, but want some feedback. Thanks

Re: Talk to me about Strep
being on the meds for 24 hours should help him feel better and also give him time so that hes not contagious. take it easy today and go enjoy tomorrow

Talk to me about Strep
DD is 4 and had strep 2x this year. She was very sick, mushy, 103 fever. After 2-3 doses of antibiotic she was like a new person. Just make sure he takes it and Motrin if need be and drink a lot.

Strep is *usually* one of the easier illnesses to get rid of and *usually* respond very well to meds. You son will be fine today. Keep doing he meds so he doesn't get it back and enjoy your trip
