Swim skirts- yay or nay?
I am very partial to Lands End suits because I always have good luck with them- and it seems like they are crazy for swim skirts. I think they are cute but curious about everyone's opinion. I am 39, so I also wonder if it's an ok-for-a-certain-age thing. I've also not seen any suits I like at all anywhere!
Here's a pic:

I love lands end suits and I love the swim skirts... I'm 35... i'm not skinny but not huge either- between a 12 and 14.. I like them b/c with the kids, I feel like I don't have to keep adjusting my bathing suit.

Re: Swim skirts- yay or nay?
i think swim skirts are good for anyone, any age. when i was younger i would wear them with my bikini and now i wear them with a tankini. still looks cute. i like the victorias secret versions bc you can mix and match.

I love them and they are all that I wear now. They are much more flattering on me than regular bathing suit bottoms. They hide my thighs and hips.

Yes for anyone! I prefer them so much because of the extra coverage.

Re: Swim skirts- yay or nay?
I think they are fine. I actually have one from LE. I have super thunder thighs though, and I don't think they really help hide them. More like says "look what I'm trying to hide"
But my other gripe with them is... you can't really swim with them. I was in the pool with my kids last summer and the skirt kept floating up in the water and it was suction cupped to me when I got out of the pool.

I prefer swim shorts for this reason, but I have both.

I love them! They are very feminine and cute. They are a bit less revealing. I dont' "readjust" all the times. I am more "carefree" with them.

I was so excited when I got my first skirt when DS was 1. Let me tell you, it's nice to not always have to shave the bikini line everyday in the summer.

I think yours might be too big then. Mine skirt is very short and doesn't have much loose fabric around it and I've never had a problem with it sticking to me. Maybe try a size smaller!

I never thought of that! At this point I don't really swim, I just kind of putter so it doens't matter. But LE has skirts AND minis- so maybe I'll try a mini.

I love my Lands End bathing suit, it washes well, doesn't pill and I've had it for going on my 3rd summer. It is well worth the money.

Hehehe, smaller I get what your saying, but I need to cover my butt and shorter/smaller wouldn't work. I actually have an awesome pair of LE swim shorts that I prefer and I switch it off with tankini tops!
