Summer '09 babies! How are we doing?

I couldn't find the old thread, so how are our summer '09 babies doing!?

DS is running alllllll over and destroying everything in his path. He's unlocked a cell phone and called 911 (and started crying when they called him back after he hung up on them), broken a TV, taken batteries out of the remote...Loves everything electric!

What are you naps/eating patterns like? I need to change the time of his 3 meals now that he's changing to one long nap. He doesn't eat at the same times as we do (say 8AM, 12PM, 6PM), but I wonder if I should start him eating with us? I used to give a bottle in the AM first thing, then breakfast after morning nap, but his afternoon nap is getting later and later and I am getting confused as to when to give lunch and dinner. He LOVES pasta and cheese curls and Cheerios, and has 14 teeth!

Omg how cute is he!!???

Brianna has 8 teeth and is taking tons of steps but isn't fully walking yet. I'm waiting for a big boo boo because she let's go of things and just takes off but she doesn't have it down packed yet so she's falling a lot. She giving me tons of heart attacks all day long.

She's having 3 meals a day and has been for a while now. She eats everything she can get her hands on! She's my little piggy.

Her naps are all over! I only get about 20mins to 45min naps. She's in bed by 8pm every night lately.

Brianna loves remotes and my cell phone! We can not be around her with either of these things!

I can't believe how this year flew! My baby isn't a baby anymore!

well, DS is 11 months. hes walking- RUNNING actually, . gets into everything. he is having 3 meals a day, i am ebifng, 4 times a day, usually. going to wean soon, ithink. 2 teeth, but he is cutting all 4 top ones.
he takes 2 naps a day, each 1-2 hours. sleeps 11 hours at night.

I can't get over that Will has 14 teeth!!!! That is amazing!

Liam is doing well! He still has no teeth but I feel that they are coming. He has been cranky off and on lately. We are down to 3 6 oz bottles of milk per day (7 am, 2 pm and 630 pm). He still takes 2 naps. Usually just an hour each sometimes a little over an hour (one at 9 am and one at 1 pm). He eats breakfast around 8 am, lunch at noon and dinner at 5. I usually give him a little snack in the morning after nap and some juice/water and sometimes in the afternoon around 330ish.

He loves Cheerios too! He also loves graham crackers, pasta, meatballs, cheese and applesauce!

He will walk with us (holding onto our hands) but he seems like he is afraid to let go. Meanwhile he gets around while moving on his butt! So funny!

We definitely need a summer 09 GTG!

DD is 10.5 months and cruising like crazy. She stands on her own for a while without holding on and MIL said she took two steps yesterday by herself!

She eats everything, she wants everything we're eating. I recently introduced pastina and she loves it, although it's SO messy!!

She says Dada, Baba and FooFoo (the cat) but no Mama on command yet. She immitates everything too, if we cough she coughs if we sneeze she tries to make the same noise.

She still has only 2 teeth and no sign of anything others coming... I wish they would already!

She's been clapping hands and waving bye bye for a while now and recently learned the itsy bitsy spider, gives kisses and knows where her nose is (and almost her belly button).

She loves the mirror lately.

She eats 3 meals a day and naps either once or twice, depending on if she fights the afternoon nap... sleeps 12+ hours at night.

This is from 2 weeks ago...

My DD will be turning 1 in a couple of weeks!

She started crawling last month, and has pulled herself up to stand once, but not again but when I put her up, she practices cruising a little bit...she has to learn to bend her knees

She says mama, dada, and no

She has two top teeth and we see two more top and 2 bottom coming in

She eats no more baby food, all table food, 3 meals a day, no more bottle, just whole milk from a sippy. She loves her play dates and stroller walks, gets to see her grandma once a week...all and all, its been a pretty good year for her

abby will be 1 on sat!!! I CANNOT EVEN BELIEVE that i was in the hospital today last year with sky rocketing blood pressure!!! this year really flew in the blink of an eye!!!

Abby has 8 teeth 4on top 4 on the bottom with molars coming in she had her first fever this week so not fun!! she eats 3 meals a day mostly table food or whatever were eating but with the molars now shes back to the purees im assuming it hurts to chew. and shes taking about 24-30oz of formula (neutramigen) a day... we have to hold off on milk till 13 months because of a suspected intolerance

She speed crawls, walks with push toys or in a walker but REFUSES to walk on her own or holding our hands. She stands unassisted and crusies all over the house.

she babbels all day long, she opens and closes every door in the house, she plays great by herself most of the time but LOVES her best friend brianna! and loves the pool. looks like its going to be an amazing summer!! icant believe how big all the summer babies are!

ETA: my 1 year old is going on 13 with her wicked awful nasty no good temper tantrums and she knows that if she throws them she gets what she wants because i get mortified when she throws them

Love hearing about the summer cuties!

I can't believe Riley will be a year old tomorrow. I can't even put into words what this little girl has brought to my life. How did this year fly by so fast? I love seeing her develop every day...but it makes me see how fast it all really goes.

She is saying "uh oh," "hi" (though sparingly to my frustration! ), mama, dada, quacks like a duck and I THINK she's said "three" a couple times once I count her in with "one....two...."

She isn't walking yet, but stands pretty well on her own. She also figured out how to climb the stairs today!

She still takes about 2 naps a day...around 9ish and around 1:30/2 I guess. I feel bad cuz we're taking Stroller Strides at 9 every morning and I know she so badly wants to sleep. But then I remember, at daycare she rarely ever fell asleep that soon anyway! She was always ready to party!

Hoping she'll take well to milk. She's great with most table food, but lately has taken an aversion to fruit. She'll eat the pureed form, but forget going with the original textures.

Oh, ok - here's the update!

James is 9.5 months old and is just such a delight! I'm off for the summer so I get the privilege of spending oodles of time with him. He sleeps from 7:30 pm until 7 am and takes 2 2-hour naps during the day, between 9:30-10 until about 12 and again from 2:30-4:30. He's eating 3 meals and drinking 3 bottles - total of about 20 oz or so. It's not a lot, but I'm not going to force him. He's slowly getting the hang of the sippy. He enjoys most table foods and definitely does NOT like tofu or avocado. He has a severe allergy to eggs. Right now, all he wants to do is kiss people. He'll grab onto your hair and pull your face into his and give you a big, wet, slobbery kiss - we're usually left with drool running down our faces. It's a good thing he doesn't have any teeth yet - I'm sure that it would hurt! He loves clapping hands and will do so on command, or if you say "YAY!!!!!!" We're starting PT with him for a gross-motor delay. He was evaluated by EI and found to have a significant lack of upper-body muscle tone. The evaluator said that he has the muscle tone of a 5-month old. He manages to get around on his butt, though. Speaking-wise, we get ma-ma, da-da and ih-yee (for Lilly, our dog) - we've also gotten random hi and bye totally in context.

All in all, I just still can't believe he's MINE!

DS will be one on 7/22:
he is full on walking which is crazy! my DD didn't walk til 15 months!
has 7 teeth and eats everything and anything. is switching to milk any day now-almost there.
takes 2 naps a day 11am-12pm then 2:30-4:30pm
he is the happiest little guy!

JJ will be 10 months old on the 6th! I still can't believe that he is almost 1 & I will have another one in less then 9.5 weeks

I am fortuate enough to be a SAHM, so i have been enjoying JJ since day 1 but now that he is so interactive, I am really enjoying it. Plus this is the first summer I am home since I was 16, so we are enjoying the pool BIG TIME!

JJ has yet to crawl but he does scoot around to get what he wants. He knows the concept of crawling but would much rather pull himself up mostly on you & make you take him (walking of course) where he wants to go. He has 2 bottom teeth & 5 top teeth coming in. Two of the top have broken in the past 2 days. Fortunately he is a GOOD teether. He LOVES anything electronic & LOVES to watch the weather! He is getting himself into EVERYTHING.

He eats 3 full meals a day & 4 bottles totalling around 20oz. He does snack a lot but mostly on fresh fruits & water ices. There is not a thing this child does not like. You name it, he has had it & will eat it. He eats a TON of table food & we are going to start to transition him to milk by the end of next month. He gives me 3-30 minute naps but is in bed at 8 every night & wakes around 7-8.

As for words, we get Mama, Nana & Ah-da (short for daddy). Tonight for the first time, he said "night, night" before going to bed. We have skype so my parents & brother can see him daily & that is how he learned to wave "bye-bye"

Jack will be 11 months tomorrow. He's so much fun at this age. Everyday is something new. It's so amazing to watch him developing and learning.

He's into everything and does not stop moving from the time he gets up until the time he goes to bed. He claps when we sing, waves, and does "So Big". He points to everything and says "this" and "that". He babbles mama and dada, but doesn't really say it with meaning yet. He crawls, walks with his push toy, cruises, and attempts to climb on everything he can. He loves swimming and the beach.

He naps twice a day for about an hour each time and finally STTN. I'm still BF on demand and he eats 3 meals a day, mostly jarred foods with some table foods too.

My little monkey is 11 months today. Where has this year gone?? He is a bundle of energy...and very happy. He's definitely a mama's boy. He's been giving big hugs and open mouth, drooly kisses!! He's been cruising for months now, with toys, on furniture, but he gets around faster crawling, so he doesn't even attempt to walk yet. He doesn't eat any baby food anymore... his faves now are mac & cheese, chicken nuggets and grits!!

Riley is doing wonderful!! I can't believe how fast time is going by!! To think last summer this time I was off for Maternity leave!!! I can't upload pictures at work right now!!

Riley has 8 teeth, walking and running now which is a treat!! Loves the pool, water table anything with water!!

She still takes 2 naps a day early morning and an afternoon nap about 1hour or so

Sleeping at night has gotten better. She goes down at 8pm and wakes around 4ish and goes back to sleep in our bed!!! Need to stop that habit.

Eats everything!!!! Doesn't want any more baby food or puree.

Alll table food!! She loves her milk and sippy cups!! Have to start putting her milk into the sippy though.

This age is so much fun she is saying words now and putting things together in her head which I love when she makes a connection to something!! She has us laughing all the time!! She loves being the center of attention.

Glad everyone is doing well!!!

Maybe a GTG in a few weeks?? Ecology Site?

Violet is doing soooo well. She'll be 1 on July 29th.

She's speed crawling,(slowly) cruising, and standing independently for about 8-10 seconds. She'll walk with a walking toy or holding our hands but not on her own.

Shes FINALLY doing well with table foods. It took a little while, but now that shes more used to them she'll gobble the things that she likes (esp puffs, cheese & avocado) right down. She loves using her cup and wants very little to do with the bottle, its a struggle to get her to take more than 18 oz a day.

She also has 14 teeth!! It was a pain that she teethed so quick and early, but now that we are almost done, I'm kind of glad to have it out of the way.

She's having a bad case of seperation anxiety. I can't leave the room without her chasing after me. My once independent girl now has to have one hand on me while she plays, or I have to be in eye contact at all times.

She babbles alot and uses tons of baby jargon... says mama dada baba, mostly without intention I'm pretty sure. Has said Hi & Bye in the correct context. Calls my parents dog "pa" for pooka.

She claps, waves, blows kisses, can point to her nose, toes, mouth, head and sometimes eyes. Does the itsy bitsy spider, and this little piggy. Loves to pretend to talk on the telephone.

She's an international traveller. We took her on a 3 week trip to italy last month with my family. She did great both ways on the plane and was a champ with the time change, and the fact that we were out and about every day. The only hiccup was that she got sick and popped out 6 teeth while we were there, so my normally great sleeper gave us a little trouble in the sleeping department, but overall the trip was great.

I can't believe my spirited little baby will be 1 in less than a month!!

Sophia's turn!!

DD is 9.5 months old (9/16/09) and a total comedian!!

She's about 20.5lbs and 28.5" long

She eats everything and anything, but LOVES yogurt and cheese. She drinks about 4 5oz bottles of Good Start/day and we will be starting her on milk after her 10 month well visit in July.

She started crawling on 6/24 and is NONSTOP! She's also been trying to pull herself up!

She has 2 teeth (bottom)

She says (in order of the first time she said them): Dada, Mama, Nana, At (cat), Hi, Yay, MMMMM, Baba

She waves BYE BYE and whispers on command DH will say, in a low, whispering voice "sophie say Dada" and she'll repeat in a low, whispering voice

She STTN from about 830pm-545am, when I wake her to get her ready for daycare. She naps on the hour ride to daycare, and the hour ride home. She does NOT nap at daycare -- I feel so bad for them On the weekends she usually take 2-3 naps about 1-1.5 hours long

She loves LOVES L O V E S our cat Chloe and her big brother Joeseph (my stepson).

She is a terror when it comes to diaper or clothes change -- she will not sit still and it drives me NUTS!!!

She wears a "helmet" bc of her flat head, but hopefully that'll be off just before her first bday!!!

Oh -- and best of all . . . she's a totall Mama's girl
