Such a stupid question.. but WWYD? ADDED PIC
2 weeks ago DH and I ordered 3 balloons for DSs bday (party city) . We just wanted to have a few for pics at home and for decoration for cake that day.
Ordered 3 mylar, one large cupcake balloon ($7) and 2 small ones ($3 each)
I picked them up this morning at 10am. The balloons were fine. got home and within the hour the large one was half deflated one small one was half deflated and the other small one was fine, completely filled.
As the day went on the large one got worse and the one smaller one fell to the floor and was basically flat. The 3rd is still fine.
I really do not think it was the heat because we had the air on all day and the one balloon was fine.
Would you just let it go or go there and say something?
Im just dissappointed because I wanted a few pics with the balloons and DS.
(BTW I also got a birthday sign that says "birthday boy" that you have to string together yourself and it was missing a Y  )

Go back and they usually reinflate them. Otherwise ask for replacement. Those are not cheap balloons.

The Mylar should last a couple days. Latex last around 6-8 hours on average.

Definately go back! Mylars typically stay afloat and full for at least a week (sometimes weeks to a month). There must be a slow leak in it.
As for the sign, take that back too.

Thanks! I know! I was especially mad about the big cupcake one.
The thing is now, at this point, his birthday is over. I could care less about them reinflating them.

Thanks! I know We got an edible arrangment for easter with a mylar balloon attached and it lasted 2 weeks and that was with DS paying on it and trying to bite it.
I think Ill just go back tomorrow. Im annoyed!

Party City has 2 types of tanks, one that is guaranteed a few hours and one that is guaranteed a few days. I've gotten the few days one and they last like 2 weeks. The few hours ones, don't last the car ride home sometimes.

I've never heard of that either-I've gotten balloons there and they never ask me.

did you use party city? I went in there to ask them why the balloons I got didn't last even a day. They just told me what I told you. It is really bs. I don't know even why they bother with the 2 tanks.

Update: I brought them back and got a full refund, no questions asked. I just said they looked like this within an hour of bringing them home.

That happened to me with the party City in Oceanside as well. Not sure what they are doing. Then when I went there last I saw something about longer lasting balloons. Hoping they aren't trying to "push" that service. Glad you got your money back

go back and tell them what happened.
this always happens to me when i get balloons there!!!
the woman last time said that means the balloon has a slow leak.
they should refund you the money or give a new one . we all know how expensive those balloons are!!
I always get my balloons from dollar tree because they last the longest!!
