Success!!! (Okay, so *one* night!)
On a whim, we took apart Ann's crib and it's now a daybed. I never planned on spending the money for the toddler rail conversion (I was thinking of an actual toddler bed which is cheaper!).
Anyway, she did great! When I got up this morning she was still snug and sound asleep. Then a little later we went to look at her and she was standing in the doorway at the baby gate  It was so cute!
Here's hoping it wasn't a fluke

I wanted to do that but my stupid crib didn't go that far down. I was terrified of the drop. I put pillows all around the area of her toddler bed (because like you I felt the toddler bed was about the same as the rails)
CONGRATS one night down, many more to come!

Yes - though on occassion, she'll wake up and call for me because she lost her binky. Once in a blue moon, she'll wake up and I bring her into our bed because she doesn't go right back down and I know she will with us.

Gotcha I'm thinking about getting Riley a toddler bed and hopefully she will sleep the night thru in it!! Wishful thinking
