Storing glasses in your kitchen cabinets

When you put your glasses in your kitchen cabinets, do you place them right side up, or upside down?

Mine are currently right side up, but my mother told me to put them upside down so condensation doesn't build up and cause the glasses to get foggy.

How does everyone else store their glasses?

Re: Storing glasses in your kitchen cabinets

Mine are upside down.
I don't know why I did them like that.
Growing up they were right side up in my parents house

It's funny all the little things you learn about someone when you move in together. DH was really adamant about storing the glasses upside down. And I have no idea why!

Upside down on cushioned liners (I tried cork, but because it came in a roll, it was impossible for me to get it to lie straight.)

I also use flour sacks to dry my glasses. They're lint free and absorb water really well.

Re: Storing glasses in your kitchen cabinets

Thanks everyone.

It seems like upside down is the most common.

I guess it's also a matter of preference.

My shelves have the cushiony liners in them, so the rims wouldn't be touching the wood if I flipped them.

But now if I were to flip them, it would seem that I was doing it because my mommy told me to. And I don't know if my pride will let me do that! Chat Icon
