stopping 4 year old from copying behavior??
so... my 4 year old is in a part time preschool, just 3 mornings a week. his teacher has mentioned a couple times that he'll copy the not-so-great other kids are doing. some examples she gave were a couple of the boys were swatting at the flag, and she told them to stop... but right after hearing her tell the other boys to stop, my son did it. and another time it was the same thing, but with banging on the table.
she said she tried to explain to him that shouldn't get follow along with them and he should keep himself out of trouble... but not sure if he gets it 100%.
I mean i know he's 4 and stuff like this is the norm... but any tips on helping him to stop this kind of stuff? LOL

What do they do at Daycare? Mine does a sticker system. It seems to work well.

This. He may be doing it for attention. If they have a system in place for positive reinforcement, it would eliminate the undesired attention-getting behavior.
