Sterilizers
What sterilizer did you register for?
I have my eye on this one: http://www.buybuybaby.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=16918326&
Ok dumb question:
Do you have to use a microwave when using a sterilizer? I am not a fan of microwaves and if that is the case I do not think I will get one. Image Attachment(s):

Once you take it out of that, it is no longer sterilized.
We put all of our nipples and bottles in the dishwasher now. In the beginning we hand washed, but that got old quick.

I have spoken to a lot of friends and family members who told me to not bother with the sterilizers and to just put the bottles in the dishwasher to sterilze them.
I'm going to stick with that.

I also am not getting one. I figure I will boil everything before we use it, and then just use the dishwasher or hand wash in hot soapy water. I feel the same way as you about the microwave.

I'm getting the Avent IQ24 sterilizer. I get skeeved out easily..and my husband doesn't always wash his plates before he puts them in the dishwasher. So...I'm going with the sterilizer.

Exactly. And the water used in the dishwasher gets SO hot that everything is sterilized regardless.
Clean, dirty or otherwise, it is all coming out clean and sterile.

I should of said rinse. He doesn' "rinse" his dishes off and it just skeeves me out. I'm sure that eventually I'll just put everything in one of those diswasher baskets...but in the beginning I'm going to use the sterilzer.

I bought one for my DS #1 and never used it. We boiled the bottles the first time and then put them in the dishwasher/handwashed them after that. It was a waste of money for us.
