Starting IVF protocol *Updated 3/8
I havent been on very much, lately, but I'd like to share that I was given the ok, by my RE, on Sat. to start the protocol, after having 2 hysteroscopies to clear intrauterine adhesions. So, I got started on 300u of Gonal f from Sat until Tues., along with 1 mg of Estrogen, and 1 baby aspirin and 100 mg of DHEA. I go back on Wed. for a sono., then I guess they'll tell me what to do next.
I am excited, but soooooooooo nervous and scared at the same time. Im sure its normal, but still...I feel so anxious!
2/24- CD 6 - Did a sono, only one follie on the right side measuring 5mm. Nothing on the left side. Continuing with the gonal f @ 300u. I go back for another sono on Fri
Labs for CD 2: FSH=2, LH=3 and E2=38
2/26- CD 8- Sono now show 2 follies on the left side @ 10mm each and same one on the right now @ 9mm.
Labs for CD 6: E2=73 and FSH=12
RE thinks I may be having a slow reaction to the meds. He now lowered the dose to 150 of gonal f and added 75 of Menopur until my next sono Monday.
3/1 - I now have 3 follies on the L side measuring 12.5, 11.5, 11.5. The R side is still only one follie @ 11.
CD 8 labs are E2=85, FSH=14, LH=1 and Prog.= 0. RE seems content, although they are growing slowly. Gonal F reduced to 75u and Menoupur still at 75 u. Next sono is tomorrow.
3/3 - I didnt see the RE today, but the sono showed growth of all follies, so I was told to continue same doses.
3/5 - There are 5 follies all pretty much ready to go. I got shot with ganirelix this morning and have to return tomorrow for another sono, but he advised us to BD tonight, just in case I happen to O, but if not...the ER is tentative for Monday afternoon!
3/8 - ER done, not a horrible experience after all; I expected to be in a lot of pain. So, total eggs=6!!!!
Prayers for viable eggs and future embies accepted! Wish me luck. and thanks again.

The moment I started the whole IVF rpocess I got an eyelid twitch that has been with me for over a month. I think stress is totally normal for this, as you feel a lot of pressure and wonder about all of the "what-if's". But you gop through the motions and see what happens. Best advice, is to keep living life; see friends, make plans, do things that are "just for you".

Good luck. Those feelings are way too normal, LOL...I wish I could bathe in Valium during the whole process!!
You'll impress yourself with how well you get through it all.
