CD7 IVF - Starting to Worry - UPDATE AT BOTTOM

I was due back at the doctor's office today but because I had to travel out of town, I couldn't make it in until tomorrow. The doctor's office assured me it was okay to come tomorrow instead of today. BUT, my period came today. I mean, this is not "spotting" - it's not necessarily a heavy flow, but it's still more than I'd like to see.

Of course, it's Sunday and the doc's office is closed. This is cycle 1 for me. Does this mean that if my period is here I've lost my chance for this cycle? I would be so BUMMED!!!! Chat Icon

I think you will be fine. What step are you at? Are you supposed to start Lupron next or start stimming. Either way I think if you have an appointmnet tomorrow you should be fine.

Re: CD7 IVF - Starting to Worry

I started stimming the day I got AF. I only did 1 IVF cycle, so I don't have much experience. I had full flow for 5 days and stimmed for 10. Hope this helps.

I am supposed to start lupron next. I stimmed already (with Clomid and Gonal-F). My last Clomid (5 day protocol) was this past Friday (I took it last week from Monday to Friday) and I was on 3 days of shots (Gonal-F) once a day for 3 days (last Tues, Wed and Thurs).

I hope all is okay. Chat Icon

I am still confused but I dont think the 1 days should make too much of a difference. Just call the office first thing in the morning.

Thanks so much for your concern. Chat Icon Chat Icon

I did go back to the doctor today. I am fine and I have big juicy follies! Chat Icon The doctor wants me to continue the Clomid and Gonal-F for the next 2 days.

My protocol may be different from some other IVF girls on the boards because I'm doing Mini-IVF (just meaning the stim is a little less intense and therefore less eggs are produced). I was told by the medical assistants that my next step (when it's time) will be lupron IN NASAL SPRAY FORM, and then not long after that, retrieval.

Thanks girls. I don't know what I'd do without the support of this board. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

best of luck with everything!! it sounds like you are moving along nicely. nothing better than "big juicy follies"!!

it's really interesting how different everyone's protocol is. i took lupron before starting to stim. but whatever way they do it is fine as long as it works!!!!!
