started bleeding.
I was fine all day ...went to my in laws after work, used the bathroom and found a decent amount of blood on my panty liner. i don't think i would call it spotting. I feel so helpless...i keep praying to god over and over again. I just keep thinking please god, not again! I came home and went to the bathroom again and wiped and there was more blood. I showered and am now waiting to see if there is more bleeding. My first ob appt is on monday and they won't see me any earlier. I just feel like anything that is going to happen is completely out of my control and thats a sucky feeling to have. I'm trying not to be negative...but if i lose this one too...i just can't understand why at 28 yrs old I can't just have a normal pregnancy! it's frustrating.

i would go to the ER if your doc wont see you...
if you are bleeding they should absolutely push up your appointment... thats what my doc did for me even for spotting...

Re: started bleeding.
So sorry that you are bleeding -- I know this must be terrifying!
Does your doctor's office know you're bleeding? How could they not push the appt up!? Go to the ER for sure if you can't get the doc to see you.
Lots of luck!

Re: started bleeding.
How far along are you? Is the bleeding red? Is it accompanied by cramps? I definitely would go to the ER if your doctor won't see you.
Good luck!

Re: started bleeding.
I had this at 6 weeks also. But if you are concerned, and your doctor won't see you, I would definitely go to the ER. 6 days is a long time to be nervous and worried.

Re: started bleeding.
I would try to get in with your OB ( or even the ER)
Do you have any low progesterone issues ?
Also, with both my DD and this current pregnancy, I had a subchorionic hematoma ( basically a blood clot on the uterus) which caused bleeding and everything turned out just fine so try not to panic , especially if you are not cramping

Re: started bleeding.
i just feel like the E.R can't really do anything except confirm if i'm losing it. & bc I'm turning 6 weeks tomorrow...they may not get a HB even if everything is fine...so it's not gonna put me at ease if they can't get a hb. i calledthe ob a few days ago re: spotting and they told me it's just too early & the dr. wouldn't see me.
last ob visit about 2 months ago they told me i had a small cyst...but i haven't had my first ob appt yet so i don't know if the cyst is still there or if i have a subchorionic hematoma...i had a SH with my last pg and lost that one

I would definitely go to the ER...I can't believe your doctor won't see you especially since you had a loss already?? You should not be left to wait till Monday for an answer....
I would either insist on being seen by your OB tomorrow or go to the ER.

I think possibly because it's early. 6 weeks you *can* have a heartbeat but it could also take a few days too... so if you go to a dr appt at 6 weeks and don't see a HB you aren't necessarily doing bad... it could just be a few more days until the heartbeat shows up. It's right at that starting time for some.
that being said, I did have a heartbeat at 6 weeks... literally on the 6 week mark. It was faint and I did have to hold my breath for them to see it, but it was there. So if you are 6 weeks tomorrow then it is not too early to see anything!! they could at the very least see a sack and investigate the area to see if there is any blood. when i was spotting, Dr B searched all around the baby to see if there was any blood coming from about that area and there wasn't... but knowing he checked really calmed me down.
I think you should go to the ER if your stupid dr won't see you. Sorry but I just think it's appalling that your dr won't see you even though you are bleeding and have a cyst. Even if they think it's too early to see anything baby wise, at least they could investigate the bleeding and the cyst more and see if the cyst is causing it.
Personally I wouldn't be OK with waiting 6 more days to go to a dr. Even just to relax you; more so that you aren't in limbo just left wondering and being nervous for the next week.
Good Luck.

Re: started bleeding.
While I completely understand not seeing pregnant women before 8 weeks I cannot fathom why after a m/c they aren't seeing you and doing blood draws and checking your progesterone. Honestly I'd be furious!

i don't understand either...i thought the same thing...what if its a progesterone issue...THAT is fixable!!!! My SIL swears by this ob and recommended him last time i got pg...but he books up so fast that by the time i could see him i had already lost the baby (i went to another ob in the meantime) but that ob was total crap which is why i thought maybe this time i'd give him a try since i never got to last time.
the bleeding seems to have stopped at least for now...it hasn't been heavy but at one point it was heavier than spotting just briefly. there hasn't been any clots but it was bright red...

You should call tomorrow and demand to be seen even by a PA or NP for blood work. Do they know your history that you had a m/c? They need to see you if for nothing else than blood work. If the receptionist won't help you demand to speak to a doctor or nurse. You have a right to be seen if you think something is wrong.

I just wanted to add, if you DO see clots, it is not a bad thing ( contrary to the common belief that even I had when I had my bleed episodes) ...My OB explained to me that clotting ( as scary as it looks) is actually a good thing...It shows that the bleed is not constant and is slow enough that it has a chance to clot, kwim ? Not to say that it if you don't see clots is is a bad thing ( because its not) , but just don't want you to be frightened if you do see one
As I said in my previous post , I'd want to get in for a progesterone check and would not be happy with any OB who would not see me because it was too early if I was having a problem like this...
Please keep us posted
