Spotting...update
I am newly pregnant about 4w2d, I have yet to see the doctor. I had some light staining this morning when I wiped and then later on my panties. I am freaking out b/c I had a chemical pregnancy last time. Please tell me that this is normal and I will not miscarry this time. Please tell me not to freak out.
Update: Called the doctor and she said not to worry if the spotting is brown. She says it's normal. Going for HCG levels tomorrow. Oh and I just had my first violent session of vomitting. Bring on every pregnancy sign in the book!!! Bring it!!!!!

Re: Spotting...
Stay calm! What color is the blood? Do you have any cramping to accompany? It's probably nothing, but you should call your doctor to set up an appointment.
Tons of women spot and then go on to have very healthy pregnancies!!!

Re: Spotting...
Spotting is very normal - could be many reasons for it. It could either be implantation spotting from the egg burrowing into your uterine lining or it could be some leftover menstrual cycle hormones (I forgot if it's FSH or LH) which could be residual and trigger some sloughing off of some cells which could lead to some spotting. Call your provider, but don't try not to worry too much - I spotted a LOT until week 8 and my PG has been fine....A couple of my aunts even told me they had full period-like bleeding every month of several of their pregnancies. HTH.

Re: Spotting...
please don't freak out sweetie - LOTS of women spot during their first tri. if it's pink or brown i wouldn't worry at all, and even red blood isn't always bad if it's not accompanied by cramping. just relax, drink some water and call your doc to see if she can fit you in this week.

Re: Spotting...
I went through this, I know how easy it is to freak out. Relax, dont lift anything heavy , dont walk around anywhere, only to the bathroom.
I would call your doc also

Re: Spotting...
dont freak out and stress your body easier said than done- I know- call the dr. if it is brown dont worry. If it is red call asap so that they can take blood and watch your beta levels.

it's just really staining my underpants slightly...brownish. Like a discharge but slightly colored. I am just so nervous becuase of what happened last time. My doctor's office opens at 12 so I will call then. So nervous.

Sounds like the doctor calmed your fears...awesome! I totally know how you feel...I also had a chemical with my last PG so since I am early, I am forever nervous about finding something in my panties when I go pee!! Sorry that you were puking your guts out but glad that you are lookin on the bright side of it! Good luck with the bloodwork tomorrow!
