Spinoff.....Telling Your Job

When did/will you tell your job about your pregnancy???

I haven't told yet, but that is because I've been in a consult-to-hire position. I just signed my offer letter making me a permanent employee here. So I'm not sure when to tell them. I'm 14 weeks now.

i told my job at 12 weeks. i dont think you can be fired for being pregnant.

I told right away. They went through a loss with me last year, so I was concerned something bad would happen and didn't want to leave them in the dark.

I told them at around 8 weeks bc I had too..I kept leaving work for dr's appts

as you know, I just told them today, at 15 weeks.

i told my one boss , but she is the only one that knows..
luckily she is being very flexible with me, with my doctor appts and what not.

I'm thinking I'll tell them after my 16 week visit on 10/29, or maybe wait until right before my Level II on 11/30.

I told them Monday- 13 weeks. I would have waited longer but I was training for the NYC marathon when I became pregnant and everyone kept asking about my training- so I didn't want to lie anymore. Plus the marathon is in a few weeks so I would have had to tell them in the next couple of weeks.

i told my bosses right away, but i also work in a small office. i am the only employee with 3 bosses

so i wanted to tell them early so they knew why i was going to dr appts and stuff.

i told my boss on friday - 13 weeks. i haven't told the rest of the group yet since it's been a crazy week but the word will get around

10w5d they were very understanding and very happy for us!

I had to, I travel a ton and work medical shows where I stand for upwards of 10-12 hours a day I felt I needed to tell them so they would understand if I needed a chair or a break...

Also, my suits arent fitting. They needed to be prepared for me to show up in business casual seperates

i told them right away with ds because they were mandating people to work 16 hour shfts and i couldnt physically did.. so when they mandated me to cover my own vacation as a double i handed them a note from my ob stating that due to preg i was not allowed to work more then 8 hours per 24 hour period
