Spinoff to recent BFP's sahre your ways post
Ok so with DS I got BFP without even really trying the first month off BC. This time around I got BFP ust by using an ovualtion pedictor online and got BFP the 2nd month, unfortunately I had mc weeks 5. I always lay with feet/butt up after sex if we are TTC. Not that I have had trouble getting PG, but what are all these things yo are doing. I want to do things that will increase chances
Eating Barilla? Carrots? Robitussin (not that i will cause I HATE liquid med) Baby Asprin? Vitamin C?
What is Preseed?
Anything I missed?

Barilla Pasta - completely unscientific. One of those correlation, not causation things, where people remembered eating Barilla whole wheat pasta the month of their BFP. I will say that it does have a lot of nutrients and is very healthy, but as far as TTC goes, I wouldn't say it really helps.
Carrots - I have no idea.
Robitussen/Mucinex - loosen up CM.
Baby Aspirin - can be used for treating a clotting disorder that often goes unrecognized..
PreSeed - a sperm-friendly lubricant.

As far as my own personal methods..
For the first month we just tried to time BD around when we thought I was ovulating.
The next 3 months, we used OPKs.
The next 5 months, we used CBEFM.
The next 4 months, we used CBEFM combined with temping/charting and pre (external lubricant by the same makers as preseed).
I tried Mucinex for 1 month and it didn't help me at all.
We found out we need fertility treatments, so I can't really help much after that!

I hear Barilla mentioned a lot...can someone let me know what the Barilla secret is? I love pasta and if it helps with TTC in anyway....I'm very excited!

I did a search of things I did the first time trying - and saw that we all drank Green Tea. Now for the life of me I have no idea why.
If anyone out there knows I will gladly go and get myself a nice big box

There is no secret with Barilla pasta. A couple of girls a while back ate Barilla plus pasta one month and happened to get a BFP that month. In no way does pasta help you get pregnant!

FYI....green tea depletes folic acid stores from your body so you will be counteracting your prenatal vitamins. It is now recommended that you don't drink green tea when you are pregnant.
For men on the other hand it is suppose to help with sperm motility I think.........

We BD almost every day - a few times 2x but mostly nighttime. Stayed laying down for a while before getting up. I used OPK sticks and FF. Cut out caffeine.

The month i got my BFP i did 4 things different :
1. used preseed
2. took mucinex
3. laid in bed 30 mins after BDing w/ pillow under my butt
4. Used CBE digi OPK instead of 2 lines OPK
Dont know if any or all of these contributed to my BFP but i cant help but think SOMETHING had to

My Dh has a theory and well it worked for us b/c I got PG with DS the first month we tried for a baby. His theory is that when you BD the man has to cumb first and then the woman has to do the same immediately after. Then the woman must lay still with her hips propped up for 30 min after. The rational is that the muscle action will pull the spermies up into the uterus and if the woman went first the cm has already gone down into the v canal. No - he is not a dr. but it worked for us and you asked for ideas - so if it helps well then I would be thrilled for you. Good luck.

this sounds like a good idea... but i could imagine this being hard to do... for me anyways
