Spinoff to Lemons and Limes
If you have ever worked in a restaurant or know someone who has.
Do you have any restuarant secrets or tricks that you know some restuarants use.
Ex: I worked at the Olive Garden in High school. Their "amazing" salad was recycled OFTEN.

Re: Spinoff to Lemons and Limes
I worked in the industry for a long time. The worst thing I ever did really was marry the bottles. I hate all those other short-cuts & actually lost a few jobs b/c I refused to do them.

Re: Spinoff to Lemons and Limes
I haven't worked in a restaurant, but I did see a waiter take a 1/2 full mug of coffee and pour it back into the pot...And serve others from it.

Re: Spinoff to Lemons and Limes
I know for a fact that a particular resturant in patchouge recycles their bread. If you dont eat it, they give the basket to a new table. I have also learned that a majority of the "specials" are on the way out, so they make it a "special" price to sell.

Re: Spinoff to Lemons and Limes
I was a hostess and doubled as a busgirl. The bread rolls left in a basket on the table were put back in the bin in the kitchen and went back out in the next bread basket. Same with the little pats of butter. Even if they totally melted soft, they were refrigerated and went back out.

Re: Spinoff to Lemons and Limes
DH worked at Friday's during college. It's not gross but it's a trick.
Their super-size drinks have no more alcohol than the regular drinks and really only about 1-2oz more filler than the regular (because of the shape of the glass).
They also dip the straw in the alcohol so the first sip you get is very strong and you think the rest of the drink is strong.
