i know it's a strange title for a thread, but follow along for a minute.
last week, we had a "lunch and learn" at work. it was about anger management and heart disease.
one of the things mentioned was...
although, i don't remember the "official numbers"... here is where it gets good... statistically, it has been proven that women deal better with life's "upsetting moments" like divorce and a death because we tend to create support systems where we can talk about our feelings.
when i heard that, i quickly thought of LIW and LIF and how both have helped me in more ways than i can count.
so, ladies, give yourself a pat on the back. you're already doing something that will help you live a healthier, longer life

That's great!! Thanks for posting!
Its funny- I was on the train yesterday and this woman next to me was reading some parent magazine. I was reading over her shoulder and I realized how rude I was being, so I asked her- excuse me- what are you reading. She told me and gave me the magazine (so sweet- see NYers are nice ) Anyway- she asks me if I'm a parent (which I am) and I tell her I am interested in the article on tantrums (since Jordana shows early signs of being a big tantrum thrower).
She tells me that is totally her 3 year old and she needs to join a parenting group because she needs to learn to deal with the tantrums without yelling. Then I had to get off the train. I thought, well I have a GREAT one Lucky me!!!
