Im on OTC-low - but ive gained about 10lbs, and am looking to switch..

you can't skip your period on OTC low right? Because, of course, im due the week of my wedding and honeymoon and would like not to be!

ive done it before bc i dont want to have it on vacations and im doing it bc i dont want to have it for my eparty next month...

I tried and it only half-worked. But, I'm probably the exception, as you can see from the number of pills I've taken over the years.

i tried and it didnt work - i still got it and for longer than normal.
i heard you couldnt bc its a different level of hormones each week instead of all the same? (well i heard it on LIW anyways, lol they can be wrong!)

That's not true--I was on ortho tri cyclen and skipped on for my HM. I did get lots of spotting though, which was a pain.

hmmmmm..weird...but i do have a weird body and if i wasnt on BCP id almost never get my period...So maybe thats why..
but ive skipped my period using the same method with OTC and OTC low.
Why dont you switch to OTC, the regular one?

That's not true--I was on ortho tri cyclen and skipped on for my HM. I did get lots of spotting though, which was a pain.
I was on Lo - maybe thats why?

ovcon-35. i LOVE IT. no weight gain, no breast tenderness, very light menstrual periods. its the best pill ive been on, i have tried 4 others.

thats really the only side effect ive had so far. but its the first one I tried.
eta: the other side effect is going from a D cup to a DD - which isnt needed considering im only 4'11"

I'm on Ortho Cyclen. I skip my period probably every other month. I have never had spotting or anything. I used to be on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo and my Dr. told me that I couldn't skip my period on it. Or at least not easily.
I definitely lost some weight when I went onto the regular Ortho Cyclen too. I think getting the different levels of hormones each week just messes with your entire body!!
