I never did. Ava survived. In fact, she thrived, not just survived.

I washed everything for DS. Chemicals, these clothes coming from Far away lands (china, philippines, india), who knows what is on them! I used Era Free/ All Free, never dreft bc it has perfume in it. I have another DS on the way, I will be washing all of the handmedowns from older DS as well

That's how I feel as well. I still wash DS clothes before he wears them, just as I usually wash my own first too. I also use All Free or Tide Free.

I would wash it. Even at 18months I still wash my DD's clothes. There was a special on the news about all the chemicals and stuff on new clothes that occur during processing.

We washed with both girls for this reason and also because the people who handle the baby clothes, storage of the baby clothes etc is not as clean as it may seem and babies like to suck on their sleeves etc.
