I keep a heavy blanket (that I love to use at night) and I put the decorative pillows in there so the kids don't ruin them.

It's full of toys, but it basically replaced our coffee table in the living room (which is now atrain table). The old wood table we had was too wide for our living room, and besides taking up space, DS bashed into it one time too many.
We love the ottoman--not sure how it will hold up over time, but so far so good.

Blankets in the downstairs one (from Bob's)
Spare clothes in the bedroom one.
Toys in the playroom ones.
