Bouncer went into storage tonight :(

I loved it and so did Jack but tonight while eating dinner he was playing in it and it got quiet I looked down and saw him resting his feet up on the blue sides that hold up the aquarium thing (which by the way looked so comfy and cute) but no more then 2 seconds later his leg was hanging off of it and he was stuck and freaking out scratching his legs on the blue latching part. He is fine but I realized he has outgrown it and seems no longer safe for him. He also just started trying to stand in it so it seemed like a good time to box it up and pull out the exercauser and jumperoo for him.

He tries to stand in everything he is a monkey to try to get into his infant seat because he locks his legs on the bottom of it and raises his butt and locks his arms on the side and won't go down. So I have a feeling the ease of the infant seat is going to end soon as well.

He is just so strong and so long when his Dad comes back he will be so shocked when he sees his little tiny helpless infant is gone.

When did you retire the bouncer?

Nate does this also. Even when you hold him he wants to stand up. I'm pretty sure by mid or end of September, we'll have to move him to his convertible carseat. Monday we were in the car, we hear him grunting in the back. DH looks in the mirror and sees stretched out straight trying to slide himself out.

Didn't have to retire the bouncy... Nate hated it so I returned it BRU.

We still use the bouncer... You are talking about the boucer seat right?
I use it to feed logan since he cannot sit up on his own yet... But he is leaning over a lot and I am afraid he is going to hurt himself.

John is still using it but he tries to stand up and tries to roll over in it, I dont keep him in it long, usually if I'm putting on my makeup or doing dishes. Unfortunately I think the bouncer is headed for the attic with the papasan swing (which he hated) and the bassinet (which he hated).....remember when your tiny baby looked lost in his bouncy Chat Icon

Caiden grew out of his real early. Around when he was 5-6 months old. I thought he was so big back when he grew out of that. Now, his feet are almost past the bottom of the high chair!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

I should really retire mine too, but when Grace is "behaving" herself she is so comfy and it gives me a break for a minute. I really have to start strapping her in though. I was in the showere the other day and she was in the bouncy in the bathroom with me. I looked away for not even a minute and she had her feet almost touching the floor, like a backbend. I had to jump out before she broke her back. So much for shaving my legs these days. She's 4 1/2 months.

Re: Bouncer went into storage tonight :(

My son is 6 months and a big boy but I still use but I find he wants less and less of it these days. It is the only thing that allows me to eat dinner at night so I am dreading retiring it and may cry when I do. I think the weight limit is 25 lbs which he is already about 21 so it can't be much longer now...

I have the kick and play and he fits in it fine but I know the Ocean Wonders Aquarium one is built smaller and he can't fit in that one at all......

My son is always pulling on the toys, trying to sit up in it, likes to sit with his feet up on the bars or hanging over the sides, etc but no issues yet.

This is how he enjoys sitting in it....

Re: Bouncer went into storage tonight :(

I retired Andrew's a few weeks ago when he flipped over the right side of it as he was grabbing the side of the aquarium. He didn't fall out b/c he was strapped in, but he got scared.

I have that one too. I don't use it as much because she loves being in her walker which stays stationary because we have carpeting. I put her in it the other day and she was rocking. It was so cute. I think I am going to start using it more.
