when you moved into your new home did the previous owners leave you a gift? If so, what?

Yea - an old bottle of champagne was left in the fridge.
Honestly - it was probably the same bottle that was given to them when they built the house

they left us piles of dog poop in the crawlspace. oh yeah and garbage everywhere.

When my parents bought their 2nd house the previous people left them a bottle of ginger ale in the fridge and a pair of mens old gross stained underwear soaking in the sink!!!! ***????

A whole lotta crap to get rid of!
ETA: And their dining room table and chairs that we still use! It's really old but in pretty good shape.

We know the previous owners very well and they left us a ton of stuff. A nice treadmill, garbage cans, weedwacker, rakes, snow shovels, wet-dry vac (DH was so happy about this), a microwave, microwave cart (which I love), spice rack, extension cords, hoses, and 3 air conditioners for the windows.. and so much more that I can't think of. We were so thankful because we needed all that stuff!

they left us a nice framed Irish plaque. I don't remember exactly what it says now, but it was really nice.
We popped the champagne back at our apartment since we were painting befoer we moved it.
I was sick as a dog. I had bronchitis...I coughed in everyone at the closing.

We bought an estate sale...we were allowed to go through the house prior to closing to "stake claim" on any furnishings, etc that we might want. We got a few nice pieces...
A few months later the REA who sold us the house brought us a huge basket of monogrammed towels, washclothes, etc. It was really sweet...

They were at the walk through the morning of the closing (still packing up) and they opened the wine fridge we have in the kitchen and showed us they left us a bottle of wine which we thought was so nice of them.
We went out to a nice dinner that night to celebrate our new home and brought the bottle with us (we live in NJ, and many restaurants are BYOB). Well, when the waitress came over to uncork the bottle, we come fo realize it was a screw top bottle and the wine had fizz to it! Most likely it was regifted.
Nice gesture, but we were

Our real estate agent gave us a $50 gift card to home depot and a gift certificate for dinner at a local restaurant....which was very nice!
As for the homeowners nada except some garbage.

they left us all the furniture, only one piece I am keeping and hundreds of $$ worth of tools and stuff in the garage. The couple were put in home and the family didnt want any of it, I know the re agent said he took a couple of things because they told him to before selling it.
Then the agent gave us a tray with a candle, a "note' book, and other chachky things. Most of which I got rid of.

Our real estate agent got us gift cards and gift certificates to local restaurants and shops in town, and made up a folder of places within the community (schools, restaurants, police, fire, parks, beaches, etc)!! It was so thoughtful!!
The homeowners left us with nothing but endless amounts of dog hair..... more hair than I have ever seen in my life (it was even in the refrigerator)!!!

The actual homeowners didn't give us anything except the keys, but our REA got us a really nice basket filled with different types of wine and crackers and stuff. The seller's REA got us a nice bottle of champagne.

Nothing from the sellers. But we got a bottle of wine from our lawyer and title closer and a nice plate to hang in the kitchen from the realtor.

They may have left us a bottle in the refrig. Best gift ever: they had their cleaning service in on the day of closing. I know it is supposed to be clean but a lot of people don't bother.
Our realtor gave us an address plaque.
