Sorry, another question
When you ladies began your TTC adventures, did you go for any sort of testing or just started BDing, using OPK's, and all that jazz?
I happened to have a physical appt scheduled for Jan 16th and (if this isn't our month) was wondering if there are any tests that I should be asking for from my general physician regarding TTC. I wasn't sure if he would be of any help or if my gyn would be a better person to ask. I saw her back in November and mentioned that we were TTC, but she didn't seem too concerned with doing anything just yet.
TIA!

I didn't have any tests done. I told my Dr. when we would start trying and he gave me a prescription for prenatals and told me what days to BD on. Good luck!

Re: Sorry, another question
I happen to have a my annual gyn appt right after we started TTC. He didn't seem too concerned. Just gave me prenatals and told me to BD every other day from CD10-20. Call if any problems and that it takes a typical healthy couple 6-8 months to conceive. I'm also young and healthy with no family hx of anything.

Re: Sorry, another question
At my last annual Pap, I told my doctor that we would be TTC and she sent me for STD bloodwork...that was it...I think STD bloodwork is routine for those that are trying to become pregnant or for those that are newly pregnant.

Me too, however they also gave me a pre-conception blood screening.

I had blood screening as well, both DH and I are eastern european jews, so they have a set of test to do on us to make sure we're not carriers of certain diseases that are common in our background...I also got an RX for pre natals

Re: Sorry, another question
I told my OB/GYN when I went for my last yearly exam in July. I mentioned that we would be trying in early '08. She just told me start taking vitamins when we're TTC & to call her if I had any problems.
This will also be my second pregnancy, so I had all of the genetic blood tests already.
