Soothie Pacifier

DD came home from the hospital with the Soothie pacifier. I have tried to switch her to a few different brands, but she loves the soothie. Unfortuantely the only ones I see in the stores are completely circular, the one she got at the hospital has a dip in the top so it doesn't squish her nose. Does anyone know where I can buy this kind or is it only a hospital thing?

DS is the same way. Hates the other ones.

Re: Soothie Pacifier

DD likes these.

you don't need the one with the cutout. it won't squish her nose at all. there are 2 little holes in it for breathing (which i never line up--makes no difference for her)

Re: Soothie Pacifier

You can't buy the one with the cutout anywhere. I called the company, they only sell them to the hospital. I hated the fact the the completely round ones kept hitting DD noise as well, but it didn't seem to bother her. Now that shes almost 10 months I can't use the one with the cut out anymore cause her top lip hangs out Chat Icon Chat Icon

ps, don't get the generic brand soothis from walmart, they are thicker and harder, DD hates it

And make sure you get the "NEWBORN" ones. We saw they had a blue one (and also a pack of purple & pink) at Target (instead of the aqua colored ones) so we bought it and realized it was much harder and thicker - it was an "Infant" size. DS won't use them. He's 4 MO.

same here, the blue ones are for when they get older but dd refused them, at 18m the green one is all she ever took. the pink and purple ones are the same as the green.

Re: Soothie Pacifier

thanks for the replies, I figure I've wasted enough money trying to get her to like other types what's another few bucks to see if she'll accept the ones without the cut-out! Thanks for the heads up on the difference between the Newborn and Infant ones. I'm headed to BRU today to pick them up!
