soooo done with wedding chat.....
So I was on LIW and I saw a post for Floral Terrace- need opinions, good and bad.
Dh and I went to a wedding there last June. I didn't in any way have a bad opinion about the place. I stated that the place has alot of stairs and that the guests (not me) were complaining. Also mentioned that the food was fabulous. Oh, and that there were only 2 bartenders for 300+ people in the cocktail hour. Not for nothing but if I was a bride and booked there I would be happy that I had that info.
I just don't understand why these brides feel that they need to battle about their vendors. Gimme a break, if you haven't even had the wedding yet where do they get off getting catty about an experience that they have'nt even had??

this very thing has lead to tons of drama over the years at LIW...and even to some large scale problems. Some people are ever vigilant to defend their vendors...to a fault.
I just hope everyone has a great wedding & usually stay out of it.

Very true, I still post on there more lately, to help brides with some questions but I have to say it is def a different crowd than when we were on there- very caddy and ruthless board if you ask me. But not all of them, some are very sweet but the ones who arent ugh they ruin the wholeness of BHB!

You know sometimes I get in the mood to be helpful over there but the thing that gets me is with the vendors. You CANNOT recommend one until youve used them and your wedding is over! IMO at least.
I made the mistake of recommending someone and then going back after my wedding and erasing all of my posts!
Brides to be, TRUST ME listen to the newlyweds!

I go on there to get a good laugh to be honest. my SIL is on there and the stuff she writes like as if her wedding is the only thing thats going on in this world it gags me lol. it makes me feel like this

I don't know, Aga- we were never like that- seriously! I actually now wish some newlyweds were even MORE honest about my vendor choices- it may have helped. I say if you don't want honest opinions, don't ask.
