Sono at 6-7 weeks?

When I went to the doctor on Monday, she scheduled me for a sonogram which would put me at 6 weeks 2 days. She said that the heartbeat can be measured the best between 6 and 7 weeks, when I asked her about waiting till 8 weeks.

Did anyone have this done so early? I just don't want to not be able to see the heartbeat and freak out.

My doc made me wait till 8 weeks so I'm no help.

But I think mikeswife had one at 6 weeks.

I had one at ... 5 weeks 6 days, and saw nothing- one more at 7 weeks and we saw the hb.

I think our first was at 6.5 weeks. We saw the sac, but went back at 8 weeks to hear the heartbeat.

I went at 6 weeks 1 day and saw the sac and yolk sac...then I went back at 7 weeks and saw and heard the heartbeat.

At 5 weeks, 6 days we heard and saw a heartbeat. Good Luck hun

i just had mine done at 6 weeks 6 days and i heard the hearbeat

I had my first sono at 5w5d and they saw the sac but no HB. We're going back on Monday and hopefully we'll be able to see the HB then. I will be 6w5d. Good luck!!!

I can't believe you guys heard the HB so early!! That is AWESOME!!! I thought you couldn't hear it until around 10wks. Oooooo.......I am so excited for my appt. on Monday.

When I went at 6w1d I saw the flicker of the heart starting.

i saw the first HB at 8 weeks.

Had a sono at 4.1 weeks and saw nothing, by 4.3 weeks the beginning of a sac, by 6.5 weeks saw the heartbeat.

I had my first sono at 6 weeks and only saw a sac.

I saw the heartbeat at my 8 week.

my first sono was very early and we didn't see anything except for the sac of fluids. i was not scared because i was not even expecting to get a sono that day so the heartbeat did not cross my mind. we went again at 8 weeks and saw the heartbeat.

i think we had one at 6w and saw and heard the heartbeat...had one actually at 5 weeks and didn't...so i of course freaked, then they did a second one 4 days later...saw the sac, and then 3 days later and saw it. good luck!!!!

My sister had her first sono around 6 weeks and heard & saw the heartbeat!

I had one at 6w3d. We saw the sac and the baby peanut. We could only see the heartbeat, it was too early to hear it. I will go back for my next sonogram at 12 weeks.

I just had one at 6wks and only saw the sac...I'm going back at 8wks and the Dr. said we will def see the heartbeat then

i had a sono at 5W5D - with an "older" machine - and i saw my bean and the faintest flicker of a heartbeat.

you should definitely be able to see something, a baby at least if not the HB, at 6-7 weeks.

My doc is making us wait 8 weeks. But it sounds like it really depends on your body and your baby- Good Luck!!!!

I went for a sono at eight weeks but I actually was only 6 weeks pregnant. I did see the heartbeat that day and everything. Go with what makes you comfortable.

We had a sono at 6w 2d and saw the heartbeat but I don't think you should be alarmed if you don't see it, sometimes it might take later to see it

I was 8w 1d so I'm not really helpful here but I guess I haven't been on much b/c I had no idea you were pregnant again - that's really fantastic news, congratulations
