I heard a mother in the supermarket call her son (must've been about 3?) a "Loser". I wanted to grab him & put him in my cart. How much of a loser can a 3 year old be? Not drawing w/in the lines??!! She stopped because I gave her a really snotty look.
Over a decade ago, I saw a little girl getting punched by her mother in the IHOP parking lot in Commack. The father stood there doing nothing - and than saw me walking toward them. He kept saying "Janine - someone is coming. please stop" I vowed that day never to fear someone beating their child. The next time I see something like that, call the police & then beat the crap out of the mother.
Sorry to vent & get off topic - I just never got over the fact that at 24, I was too much of a wimp to do anything to help that poor little girl.
I would have beat her azz!!!!! I would have gladly gone to jail! That is just sick....how could be dp this to innocent children.

That is just horrible. I'm getting chills just thinking about it. I was in a store once and a lady had given her maybe 5 or 6 yaer old $10 to hold. The little girl lost it and she was saying to her "you little B!tch you better find that money"...and just being horrible. The little girl was crying looking all over and I couldn't take it anymore and I yelled at the mother. I told her she was an animal and that animals treat their young better than her. I told her she was the stupid one for giving her child money to hold. I told her I was going to call CPS so her child could be taken away. I gave the little girl ten dollars and told her it would be ok. I'm crying just thinking about it. 
Wow girl.....props to you for doing that! 
That is a terrible way to treat your child....angry or not.
